This position supports the Merchandise Manager and team.
Responsibilities
Assists in executing back end support needed for daily tasks within each product category
Facilitates product development process between Sourcing, Sales and Packaging; sample follow up
Contribute in developing customer intimacy through regular store visits and competitive shopping; apply findings with Merchandising team
Support merchant in development of line plans with trend information
Support the product development process to ensure that the merchandise consistently appeals to the customer’s needs
Coordinate the approval of sketches, color prints, concepts with Design team
Gather support data from Sales to ensure Product Development & Sourcing have all production needs
Assist in presentations when needed
Organize meetings and work flow to design
Create cross functional design presentations so merchandising team can present to Sales & Design department
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in Fashion Merchandising and Product Development
RETAIL LINK EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Must have flexible schedule
Task oriented and work in fast paced environment
Home textiles background preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required
Knowledge of fabrication with cut and sew
Computer proficient
Display outstanding sense of customer intimacy and product category
